…I hadn’t used my red backdrop in way too long, and I was itching to play with some new portrait ideas. So I styled four distinct looks, each with a different vibe, and shot everything right here in Orange County. From outfit planning to the final edits, this session was all about expression, experimentation, and fun.

The photos turned out vibrant, candid, and full of personality- just like the kids themselves. I also snapped a Polaroid of each child to take home the same day, because I love offering a little instant keepsake.

After we captured those more formal family shots, the real fun began. The kids changed into swimsuits, grabbed their surfboards, and hit the waves! I swapped out my lens for a long one so I could hang back and capture them candidly in their element-laughing, surfing, and just being totally carefree. It was pure magic.

San Clemente is one of my favorite backdrops for family sessions. This session was full of playful snuggles, shoulder rides, and sandy toes- true Orange County lifestyle photographer energy. No stiff poses here- just movement, joy, and natural connection.

Linda is actually a longtime client of mine through her hair salon, Luxe 22, but this shoot was extra special. We worked together beforehand to curate a soft, carefree vibe-and once we arrived at the beautiful outdoor location, everything came to life. The golden hour light, the expansive lavender fields, and the joy between them created the perfect setting for natural, candid moments.

There’s just something about a digicam that brings travel memories to life in the most nostalgic, effortless way. I recently joined my friend and influencer Chloe Montoya on a girls trip to Portugal, and I brought along my favorite digital camera to capture the magic. For this round, we headed to a local kids park (because why not keep it playful?) & brought along her Pax pen to highlight her cannabis girlie aesthetic. She’s a cannabis style influencer, so naturally, we leaned into the fun with lifestyle portraits that felt relaxed, real, and uniquely her.
